I'm not sure if it's only in the Waldorf schools where kids have a "Health Break". Maybe so, because when I've mentioned it to other parents outside of a waldorf school, I get this puzzled look and sometimes get an answer like, " Awww, I hope you're kids feel better. What are they sick of?" (???!!!@#$) Huh? Then, I'm the one who's confused.
I like health breaks, a lot. I look at it as a bit of time to take stock, catch up, vege, or just have fun with the kids and D. I take the opportunity to spend some time outdoors with them because for some reason, everyone is at peace! from the adults, to the youngest member of the family. It is in nature where we all seem to feel most content, and where I feel I can let go of my everyday woes and realize, they're not so important after all!
